The name Spaltfix stands for the highest performance and economic, user-friendly operation. All the outstanding features of the Spaltfix series (280, 3000, 3100, 3200 and K-4000) have now been further developed for the new Spaltfix K-5000. With its splitting power of up to 41 t, the K-5000 splits logs up to 50 cm diameter and meets the most exacting demands. As far as the splitting process is concerned, special attention has been paid to the utmost convenience and safety: The gripper advance system grabs the timber and moves it to the 75 cm chain saw that cuts it into pieces of either 25, 33, 40, 50 or 100 cm length. After cutting, the timber falls via a rocker into the splitting trough and is pushed through a splitting knife (for 6, 12, 15, or 18 billets). The “Autospeed“ function ensures pressure-controlled switching between forward speeds. The split timber is discharged via a conveyor belt. The K-5000 is controlled by means of a two-hand joystick control. The layout of the operation space has been improved and its ergonomic design ensures ease of operation.
